Accredited Fashion Schools In Baltimore Maryland

The Baltimore City Community College is where we start our search. It is a decent size college, with just under 7,000 students enrolled. There is about 18 students to every teacher, which is pretty good when you consider the average for community colleges around the country. It is a two year public institution that offers associate’s degrees and certificates in the field of fashion. This is an economical choice, as community colleges cost significantly less than universities and private schools.

Next, we turn our attention to a 4 year public university, the University of Maryland (College Park – 30 mins south of Baltimore). It is an extremely large school and it has a student population of just under 40,000 students. But, the student to teacher ratio is still 18 to 1, which is the same as the community college listed above. They offer all of the degrees, and have a large presence in the fashion world. This school will provide great opportunities for those that get a chance to attend it. It can be a bit pricey, but is well worth it in the end.

Stevenson University (Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland – 14 mins north of Baltimore) is the last school that we are going to look at, and it is a private not for profit school. The teacher to student ratio is about 1 teacher for every 15 students. The student population is extremely small, as it is with most private institutions, coming in at a shade under 4,000 students. Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are offered and they too have a fashion presence that will allow students to succeed in the real world.
